I’m so glad you’re here today!

I often get asked “how did you get into makeup and is this what you always wanted to do?” To that I say, no I didn’t know that being a makeup artist is what I wanted to do. Like many folks, I did my standard progression of schooling - high school to college to workforce. I worked in healthcare corporate for many years and found that I didn’t have a creative outlet. In that pursuit, I decided to try my hand at culinary baking school, which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, I quickly realized I had a bigger affinity to eat cupcakes rather than to run a commercial baking kitchen.

Fast forward to 2016, where the answer to my creative outlet was right in front of me. I had always enjoyed the process of putting makeup on and getting ready. Not knowing what to expect, I booked my first wedding and absolutely fell in love with the process of getting a bride ready and doing makeup professionally. That’s when I created SoniStyled.

My personal trait of being a perfectionist helped me to build SoniStyled. My clients enjoy the attention to detail I put into each look I curate. You can expect a calm, fun and professional environment when working with me or other SoniStyled artists. I personally take every effort to ensure my clients have the best experience. I want you leaving my chair the most confident you’ve ever looked and felt.
